Bill Clinton’s ex-mistress Gennifer Flowers to attend election debate!

She accepted Donald Trump’s invitation to sit in the front row as he goes head-to-head with Hillary

Bill Clinton’s former lover has accepted Donald Trump’s invitation to be his guest at Monday’s presidential debate. It’s a move that – would not only turn the event into a media circus – but would force the Democratic candidate to come face-to-face with her husband’s former mistress.

On Saturday Gennifer Flowers confirmed on Twitter that she would be attending the event, writing: “Hi Donald. You know I’m in your corner and will definitely be at the debate!”

The Republican presidential candidate threatened to invite the 66-year-old blonde after his nemesis, business mogul Mark Cuban said he is going to be in the front row when Trump and Hillary Clinton go head-to-head at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

The Shark Tank judge tweeted on Friday: “Just got a front row seat to watch Hillary Clinton overwhelm Donald Trump at the ‘Humbling at Hofstra’ on Monday. It Is On!”

Trump, 70, tweeted in response: “If dopey Mark Cuban of failed Benefactor fame wants to sit in the front row, perhaps I will put Gennifer Flowers right alongside of him!”

Flowers first came to international fame when she revealed the details of her affair with Bill Clinton during his 1992 bid for the White House.

Although the future president initially lied about having a sexual relationship with her, he had to admit it under oath during his impeachment hearings of 1998.

After news broke that Flowers had accepted Trump’s invitation, she started to trend on Twitter and was the subject of numerous jokes.

One person tweeted: “Gennifer Flowers? Someone want to remind Trump that he actually married one of his mistresses? #MarlaMaples #GenniferFlowers #NeverTrump.”

Several people suggested that the Republican candidate should invite Monica Lewinsky and others who have either had – or alleged to have had – a sexual relationship with Hillary’s husband.

While Twitter went into a meltdown, 69-year-old Hillary tweeted: “Hillary’s been fighting for women and girls her entire career – and she’s just getting started.”

However all hopes that Monday’s event will turn into an episode of Jerry Springer were quashed by the Commission on Presidential debates.

The organisation’s co-chair, Frank Fahrenkopf, told CNN that they will “frown upon…attempts by use of the tickets, placing people in the front row or not to try to impact the debate.”

He added: “It’s wrong. We would have frowned upon Mr Cuban being in the front row if his purpose is to somehow disrupt the debate. Likewise if Mr Trump was going to put someone in the front row to try to impact things.”
