Bethany Platt has an extreme case of the green-eyed monsters when Craig Tinker starts flirting with Speed Dahl waitress Kayla Westbrook.
It comes after Bethany decides it’s time to look to the future after her year from hell, after being groomed and abused by evil Nathan Curtis and his equally disgusting friends.
She also narrowly avoided a prison sentence after seriously injuring a client while she worked as a lap dancer after having a flashback and bottling him.
And she recently discovered that one of her abusers, twisted policeman Neil Clifton, has appealed his conviction.
So it’s fair to say poor Bethany’s not really been focused on the future.
She confesses to mum Sarah that she’s thinking about asking Craig to give their relationship another chance and Sarah encourages her to go for it.
At Speed Dahl Craig tries to open up to Bethany over dinner but he’s thrown when Kayla interrupts and starts to mock him.
Craig tells Kayla about his OCD and – mortified – she immediately apologises to him.
Bethany is left unimpressed when Kayla interrupts their meal again later, and she’s annoyed that Craig seems charmed by her eccentric personality.
Bethany’s irritated even more when Kayla gives Craig her number!
