Benefits Street's Dee Kelly, who gained a fan base after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, was involved in a car crash on Saturday along with her son Gerard.
Best known as White Dee, the worried mum revealed she is "thankful to be alive" but feared for her son following the incident.
The Benefits Street star told her 39.3K Twitter followers she's "achy but fine".
The 44-year-old wrote: "Havent been on much but on saturday me and my son were involved in a car accident all i can say is thank god for #seatbelts - achy but fine."
Her followers were quick to reply to the reality star as one wrote: "@therealdeekelly Hope you are OK. Shakes you up though."
To which Dee replied: "@BeverlyMacca1 was more worried about gerrard hun - he was in shock bless him but we are alive so thank someone for that."
Another tweeted: "@therealdeekelly Oh my god!!! Hope you are both ok."
"@therealdeekelly hope ur ok and not in too much pain get well real soon sending healing hugs," said a third.
After leaving the CBB house the mum-of-two, who suffers from depression, admitted swallowing every pill she could find in an attempt to kill herself.
All i can say is thank god for seat belts.
Speaking to Loose Women last year, she explained she was in a dark place.
Dee, who starred alongside James Jordan and Kellie Maloney in 2014's CBB, said of her sudden fame: "I knew I wasn’t a singer, I wasn’t an actor, in reality I’d kind of become famous for not really having any talent.
"I think there were people out there that wanted me to fail."
But she's determined not to go back to a life on benefits and is seeking opportunities open to her.
