Azealia Banks: “Russell Crowe choked me at a party”

The rapper also claims he called her the 'n' word

Azealia Banks has made shocking allegations that Russell Crowe assaulted her at a party before throwing her out.

According to TMZ, the controversial rapper was attending the gathering as a plus one at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

It all kicked off when Azealia laughed at Russell’s music choice and called him and other guests “boring white men”, she also threatened to cut fellow guests.

Banks reportedly said: “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***.”

She was also the one dropping the ‘n’ word, not Crowe according to sources.

Allegedly, she then reached for a glass before Russell intervened.

Sources close to The Gladiator actor explained that he picked Banks up and ejected her from the hotel suite and called security to boot her out.

But Azealia seems to be remembering the incident very differently.

In a now-deleted Facebook post, she wrote: “To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suit, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me.

“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time.

“The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”

She added in a second post: “And just weak as f*** man. I want to f****** die.”

Finally, she wrote: “Just feel so low and mishandled and alone and fucking depressed right now.

“I wish I had someone to beat him up for me”.

An investigation was carried out, with four witnesses giving statements, which many of them called the rapper “erratic”.

Azealia’s rep hit back saying: “Azealia is tremendously distraught and disheartened. She is shell shocked and will speak out on the incident once she has had time to process the brutality and abuse she was unjustly subjected to.”

So, are you team Banks or team Crowe?
