Ashley Banjo almost gave his friends heart attacks today with an absolutely brutal April Fools’ gag.
The TV dancer, 30, decided to test his friends and see how much they care for his baby daughter, Rose, by tricking them into thinking he’d dropped the five-week-old.

In a video of the prank posted on Instagram, Ashley was seen gleefully planning the joke alongside his seemingly reluctant wife, Francesca, and pulling it off in front of his shocked friends.
He captioned the clip: “Do my friends care about my baby? Well, let’s find out on this sunny April Fools’ day shall we. Sorry @francescabanjo it had to be done and Rose, remember, daddy loves you.”
The video showed Ashley practising walking with the carry cot in hand and then stumbling forward, the thankfully-empty cot crashing to the floor.
He then approaches his unsuspecting pals, greeting them and then tripping over as planned.
Ashley’s mates gasped as they rushed forward to help. The star immediately burst out laughing and one of his relieved friends – Diversity member Terry Smith – puts a hand to his chest and sighs with relief.
The Dancing On Ice judge’s fans rushed to congratulate him on a prank well done.
One commented: “Actually thought the white guy in the black top was going to vomit…”
Someone else replied: “He looked like he was about to have a heart attack.”
A third simply wrote: “Savage!”
Another said: “You almost put @terrydsmith_ into an early grave doing that.”
And fellow Diversity star Perri Kiely commented on the video with a string of laughing-crying emojis.
Earlier this week, Ashley revealed his daughter takes after him in an adorable snap posted on Instagram.
It showed baby Rose sleeping peacefully in Ashley’s lap while he sat back and relaxed after apparently tackling a big plate of pasta.
He told his followers: “She defo takes after me in the food department.”

Ashley has been busy chronicling his daughter’s first experiences on social media, using the hashtag #RosieDiaries for many of the updates.
Just recently, he posted two pics of him and his wife looking like proud, happy parents, with Francesca holding Rose who gazed lovingly up at her dad.
