This week’s TV Choice Awards proved to be a big night for the stars of Emmerdale, as the ITV soap picked up the coveted Best Soap gong at the ceremony.
However, for one of the show’s stars, the night ended in absolute disaster, with Emmerdale actor Asan N’jie being called in for “crisis talks” with the show’s bosses.
Asan, who has played the soap’s Ellis Chapman for a year, was reportedly involved in a fracas with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, with the soap newcomer threatening to “kill” the Channel 4 star.
Video footage from the bash on Monday night appeared to show Asan being held back as he confronted Jamie in an ugly altercation that took place at 11pm.
According to The Mirror, Asan said to Jamie: ““Do you think you are a f*****g big man? I’m going to f*****g kill you. I’m going to f*****g knife you.”
The paper reported that the pair had to be “pulled apart” twice by security.
Asan had earlier been nominated for the TV Choice Award for Best Newcomer after his character was stabbed in a knife crime storyline.

It’s now reported that he has been “summoned for crisis talks” by his bosses at Emmerdale.
Ent Daily has contacted the ITV soap and Jamie’s agent for a comment on the story.
In the footage, Jamie can be seen being led away from the bust up by his co-star Malique Thompson-Dwyer.
He later revealed a conversation he had with Jamie following the row.
Malique said: “I told him to relax. I told him: ‘This isn’t that kind of party.’”
After the incident, ITV said: “We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at the TV Choice Awards involving one of Emmerdale’s cast.”

They added that they would also be talking to Asan. “We will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course.”
With his career hanging in shreds, The Sun reports that he will “get down on his hands and knees and plead for a second chance” with the show’s bosses.
A source revealed: “Asan is beside himself with worry. To quote him he’s in ‘absolute bits’.”
The added: “He knows that his career in Emmerdale could be over. He’s someone at the centre of a knife crime storyline who has threatened to stab a fellow actor.”
They concluded: “It doesn’t get more serious than that. He will get down on his hands and knees and plead for another chance.”
Emmerdale fans have now called for the star to be fired, labelling his behaviour “disgusting”.
