Arthur reveals why he left the BB house after viewers were left in the dark

BB producers decided to keep the reason quiet until Arthur blabbed

He was one of the most popular and intriguing housemates in this current series so fans were shocked when he decided to quit on Sunday.

But last night viewers were furious when Big Brother failed to explain why Arthur Fulford left the house.

Viewers expected his, frankly weird, departure to be explained in last night’s episode but nope. Nothing.

To make things even more infuriating, Channel 5 hinted that something secret had happened explaining: “After a confidential, off-camera conversation, Arthur will not be returning to the house.”

Housemates were then told the news and they were clearly shocked.

Sukhvinder shouted: “Arthur! You should have stayed.”

Then, Raph was told to collect Arthur’s things and take them to the diary room.

He was clearly gutted and wanted it to show. As he picked up Arthur’s stuff he said out loud: “I’m so sorry mate.”

Fans weren’t happy and had a good rant about it online.

Star of last year’s Big Brother, and Bit On The Side reporter, Andy West, was asked for an explanation by a fan on Twitter and he replied: “I dunno but I suspect there’s more to it than meets the eye. There’s no excuse EVER for just walking… especially so early.”

However, Arthur has broken his silence and revealed to The Sun his reasons for leaving.

“It all became way too much, I felt bullied and isolated,” he said.

“But at the same time I didn’t want to allow myself to become a victim.

“I knew what I was doing the whole time, winding people up, but it didn’t come from a place of malice.

“Every year Big Brother has a ‘cool group’ consisting of the young, good looking models. They treat the rest of us as their inferiors and that infuriated me!

“One of my biggest fears in the house was how I was being perceived from the outside.”

The 24-year-old posho had been one of the early favourites but as time went on he began losing support from housemates and fans who saw a darker side to the lad.

On Sunday Arthur annoyed almost every housemate calling Tom Barber and Joe Quaranta nasty names.

He also trashed the kitchen when he couldn’t get to the store room, pouring oats all over the floor in protest and then stomping up the stairs to the diary room.

Even Lotan Carter, who had been sticking up for him, declared he was “no longer taking responsibility” for him.
