Ex-Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has spoken of her joy as her daughter tied the knot this weekend.
Posting a picture of the happy couple — the eldest of her two daughters Alana, a make-up artist, and Henry Stewart — she wrote: “Spreading the news! My beautiful daughter got married today. I’m so happy.”
The 74-year-old also included a snap of herself with Alana, 38, who is from her first marriage, and younger sibling Abi, 27, who Arlene had with her partner Angus.
Speaking to The Guardian in 2012, the choreographer said she had always wanted children.
“It was a dream come true when I discovered I was pregnant with Alana when I was 36,” she said.
“I was a single parent until she was six, when I got together with Angus, who, to all intents and purposes, is her father. He is brilliant.

“It is quite an age difference, but Alana adored having a baby sister, and the gap between her and Abi has narrowed incredibly as they have got older.”
Alana also shared pictured of her big day with her social media followers, including a shot of her beautiful modern white dress.
Fans and friends rushed to congratulate the beautiful bride and her new husband.
One wrote: “Wow, the best news ever Arlene – such a beautiful bride (and couple) – many congratulations to you all. Much love.”
Another said: “Congratulations to all and of course mother of the bride. Have a truly memorable day.”
A third added: “So happy for you and Alana and the whole family. Sending so many kisses.”
Even celebrities left their well-wishes, with TV presenter Gaby Roslin saying: “Huge congratulations and sending masses of love, hugs and kisses.”
Union J’s Jaymi Hensley added in a message to Arlene: “Congratulation darling! Alana looks absolutely beautiful , you must be so proud ! Lots of love.”

Arlene served as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing from its first series until the sixth, which aired in 2008.
She’s currently working as director on an upcoming musical called A Little Princess, which will star former Strictly contestant Danny Mac and Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington.
It will debut at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Bank Holiday Monday, May 28.
