Anthea Turner reveals she’s engaged after five months of dating

Her boyfriend proposed in Rome

TV presenter Anthea Turner has announced she is engaged after just five months of dating.

The 59-year-old is set to wed business tycoon Mark Armstrong after she split from her cheating husband Grant Bovey seven years ago.

Speaking on Scala Radio, she told the presenters: “I am here [in Rome]… We came out for my boyfriend’s birthday, that was the whole idea of coming out here.

“I couldn’t be with a better person, he’s half Italian, he’s keeping me very happy.”

She added: “Yes, finally, after all this time – all of this time. He did propose to me in Rome. What a romantic city.”

It was only revealed last month that Anthea had found love again with 55-year-old Mark.

The couple are said to have met at a private member’s club in March and according to a report in The Sun, “hit it off straight away”.

A friend of Mark’s described the businessman as “smitten” and added to the publication: “He fancied her straight away and they swapped details – Mark immediately asked her out, and it went from there.”

Anthea and Grant wed in 2000 after he very famously left his wife for her.
