Tennis star Sir Andy Murray has said he is “very happy” to be expecting his second child with wife Kim.

The pair already have a one-year-old daughter, Sophia, following their marriage in 2015.

On Monday, Sir Andy will take to the Centre Court to play Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.

After pulling out of two warm-up matched earlier in the week due to ongoing hip problems, he assured fans that he will be “fine to play” in the big event.

Asked if the excitement of his new child would affect his performance, he said “No, I wouldn’t have thought so,” and admitted that the family had known of the news for some time.
