Piers Morgan pokes fun as Susanna Reid unveils sore injury

Ouch!

Susanna Reid has revealed she’s been left with a huge bruise on her arm after falling through a deck chair.

On Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, Susanna said she was sunbathing when the incident happened and, of course, Piers found it utterly hilarious. How mean!

Showcasing her large purple bruise on her arm, the presenter said: “Can I just point out, this has got worse.

“Look, I’m scarred and bruised,” she added as the camera zoomed in on the bruise.

Piers asked the studio crew: “Have we got what Susanna did to that poor deck chair?”

A photo then popped up of the broken and ripped deck chair.

Laughing, Piers joked: “For those who don’t know what this is, Susanna decided to lounge in her garden and obviously it’s been a long summer so far for Susanna on the social whirl, the old deck chair couldn’t handle it.”

Susanna said: “You kept telling me to enjoy the weather!

“That wouldn’t happen with the girls in the Love Island villa, would it?”

Piers replied: “Wow. Look at that scene of utter carnage.”

Susanna cut in: “I need a reinforced one, apparently,” as Piers burst into laughter.

The pair then moved on to discuss Monday night’s episode of Love Island.

And it seems Love Island hater Piers could actually be warming to the series.

The presenter, 53, admitted he tuned into last night’s episode.

He said: “My youngest son came round last night to watch the football and he said, ‘come on Dad, let’s watch a bit of Love Island’.

“I could literally feel an attack on my neurons. We watched it for 10 minutes. He then went off in an uber, but by then I was in a zombie-like state, and my wife came down.

“She went, ‘Are you alright?’ And I went, ‘What?!’ And she went, ‘You’re watching Love Island!’

“I didn’t know what was going on, I felt like I was in this zombie condition. I was this brain-dead zombie!”

Susanna replied: “But you couldn’t drag your eyes away.”

Attempting to come up with an excuse, Piers said: “Well, it was recoupling night.”

Charlotte Hawkins then said: “This is how it begins!”
