Amir Khan shares first photo with wife Faryal following I’m A Celeb stint

He's been away from his family for five weeks

Amir Khan has shared the first snap of him and wife Faryal Makhdoom following his stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The couple publicly split over the summer, but reunited just before he headed to Australia.

The boxing legend has now posted a sweet pic of him and pregnant Faryal reuniting at his surprise jungle/birthday party.

“Family surprised me with a jungle party/ birthday party,” the star captioned the post. “Here’s a pic of me and @faryalmakhdoom. (Don’t eat my strawberries).”

In the snap Amir is seen with his arm wrapped around his wife, who was holding a bucket of strawberries with a picture of Amir poking out of it.

The bucket of strawberries referred to the moment that Amir ate the prize strawberries behind his campmates’ backs.

Back in the summer Amir, 31, split from Faryal and claimed they were getting a divorce, after he accused her of cheating on him with fellow boxer Anthony Joshua.

Shortly after the public bust-up, Faryal announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s second child. They are also parents to three-year-old daughter Lamaisah.

Earlier this month Amir told The Sun that his experience in the jungle brought him and Faryal, 26, closer together.

Amir admitted: “Family-wise being in the jungle has made me ealise how important they are to me. In a weird way being away from them has made me feel closer to them.”

“We didn’t go through with the divorce as it’s void (banned in his Muslim religion) when a girl is pregnant,” Amir continued to tell The Sun.

“I definitely have more appreciation for my little girl and my wife Faryal, because I wasn’t around them. I was so far away. I missed them like crazy.”

“I don’t think we’ll break up again now, we both know how much we need each other. It was a bit of a wake-up call for us both and it will only make us stronger,” he added.
