Amanda Holden had words with the parents of an eight-year-old Britain’s Got Talent contestant after she felt his jokes were inappropriate for a child.
Budding comedian Ned Woodman said: “Why were people so excited by that talking dog on Britain’s Got Talent? Amanda Holden’s been on it for years.”
Amanda was not impressed that he seemed to call her a “dog” and revealed that she’d spoken to his parents afterwards.
“I have got a sense of humour, but I think he should temper his act to his age,” she said.

“I had words with his parents on the day. I don’t think any parent should let their child say that.”
It has since been revealed that Ned’s dad Liam is a comedy writer who has worked on shows including Not Going Out.
Amanda’s discussion with Ned’s parents were filmed but not broadcast.

Ned also made a dig at other judges, as well as BGT presenters Ant and Dec. “I was really worried for David Walliams when he swam the River Thames for charity because of all that garbage going in his mouth,” he said. “But since I’ve been watching BGT, I’m relieved it’s all coming out again.”
He then said: “It was really fun meeting Ant and Dec backstage, but I’m never quite sure which one’s supposed to be the funny one.”
Alesha Dixon was also taken aback by Ned’s routine. “We were surprised,” she said. “What made him so shocking was it was this young person delivering quite adult jokes.”
The former Strictly Come Dancing winner would like a comedian to do well, however.
“It’s one of the toughest areas of performing and when you think of a comedian in their normal world, they wouldn’t have just two minutes to go out and impress an already judgmental audience.
“To do that on our show is really hard, so when somebody comes out and nails it you are really rooting for them.
“We’ve got a couple of really incredible ones this year so I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed.”
