Mum-of-two, Amanda, 48, described how her eldest daughter, 13, had to be delivered by caesarian section.

But this didn’t discourage Amanda.

She told co-host Jamie Theakston: “My Lexi had this thing called placenta previa which means she couldn’t come out the normal way because her placenta was in the way, she was using it as a cushion basically, she was doing like a headstand on it.”

She went onto say: “So I had to have a C-section so I did full glam. I had lip gloss, I did a lash. I literally said ‘Can I wear my [stilettos]?’ and they went ‘No way you, have to take your shoes off.”

Fresh from her public ‘feud’ with Phillip Schofield, Amanda Holden has landed a coveted new presenting role on top of her daily stint on Heart.

Amanda hit the headlines recently after reports that she’d gone to a top ITV exec to complain that Phil had blocked her from covering for Holly Willoughby on This Morning as Holly headed to Australia to present I’m A Celebrity.

Amanda has since claimed that she has offered Phil an olive branch – and he ignored her.
