Love Island’s Alex warns Megan he’s “done” if she stays with Wes

He won't stand for being second best

Eliminated Love Island contestant Alex Miller has warned Megan Barton Hanson he won’t wait for her if she cracks on with Wes Nelson.

Alex was dumped from the villa on Thursday night after a shock twist saw Wes choosing to couple up with former flame Megan.

It was Alex who had split Wes and Megan up in the first place, arriving at the villa just one day after Wes and Megan got together, and spiriting Megan off while Wes was at Casa Amor.

And Alex has now warned he won’t wait for Megan on the outside if she pursues a romance with Wes in the villa.

He said of Megan: “100 per cent [my feelings were] genuine. I said from day four or five, it wasn’t a game to me. I’d found someone in her that I hadn’t found in anyone in three years.

“If she had walked out, I would have packed my bags and gone with her.”

Alex added: “I can see her and Wes making a go of it in there though. That would mean it’s done for me. It’s not something I would pursue. The fact that she’s even considering being with Wes, that speaks volumes.

“For me, I always wanted Megan – I wouldn’t have gone for any of the other girls in any other situation. We wouldn’t have had the connection I had with Megan.”

Alex said he’s confident Megan would have stayed with him if the twist hadn’t happened.

“I think we would have stayed together based on the chats we had and the way we got on, we were proper close,” he said.

And Alex also insisted he has no hard feelings towards Wes, despite Wes deliberately trying to woo Megan back to him.

“I think I would have won out of the situation with Wes, but that got taken out of all our hands,” he said.

“I did say to Wes I would have made the same choice in his position. I didn’t want him to feel bad. I said ‘look mate, you’ve done what you had to do.’ I’ve got nothing against Wes. He’s a cool guy.”

Alex also lashed out at Georgia Steel for making the dumping “very dramatic”, saying: “I’m not Georgia’s biggest fan. I don’t think she handled it in the right way, she was very dramatic about it.”

A twist on Thursday night meant Wes and Georgia – the villa’s only two singletons – had to choose to save one person each out of the three couples who received the least public votes in a recent poll.

The couples were Alex and Megan, Darylle Sargeant and Adam Collard, and Sam Bird and Ellie Jones.

Wes chose Megan, while Georgia chose Sam, meaning Alex, Darylle, Adam and Ellie were all sent home.

Alex also slammed Georgia’s former romance with Josh Denzel, who has now dumped her for Kazimir Crossley.

He said: “Josh and Georgia never had the legs, everyone could see that. It never had any longevity.

“She’s very immature for Josh. She tries so hard to be mature but she winds a lot of people up. There is no romantic relationship that will happen with her and Sam. It’s a way to stay in.”

Ouch.

Love Island airs 9pm on ITV2.
