Alesha Dixon ‘sick with worry’ as brother is rushed to hospital

It's been reported that John is in a serious but stable condition

Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon’s younger brother John Lonergan has been left in hospital following a horrific car crash with his best friend James Bartell who was driving.

John, 30, was in the passenger seat and suffered serious injuries after James lost control of his car and ploughed into trees.

Sources have reported that Alesha, 38, is “sick with worry” about her brother and said John is “lucky to be alive”.

James, 29, sadly died at the scene on Sunday evening. He leaves behind his girlfriend Anna-Marie Kelly and his two children.

John remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A source close to singer Alesha told The Sun: “She is sick with worry about her brother John. He is badly injured but is lucky to be alive.

“He has several broken ribs and a broken collar bone. It’s expected he will be in hospital for some time.”

Hertfordshire Constabulary are now investigating the crash.

PC Jackie Lister said “We are doing all we can to fully investigate this incident in order to establish what happened prior to the collision.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, to please contact me.

“I am conscious that many drivers these days have dash cams fitted to their vehicles and may have captured the vehicle being driven immediately prior to the collision.”
