Abbey Clancy proud as Peter Crouch announces retirement

Abbey Clancy has congratulated her husband Peter Crouch as he announced his retirement from football.

The model, who has four children with the former footballer, took to Twitter to express how proud she is of him.

She wrote: “Happy retirement to my darling husband @petercrouch.

“We couldn’t be more proud of you! What an incredible career you have had!

“I’ve loved watching you and supporting you over the years and will continue to do so in the next chapter of your life!! I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world!!

“We love you @petercrouch.”

Peter replied: “Thank you can’t wait for the next bit with you.”

Peter wrote on his own Twitter: “After a lot of deliberation this summer I have decided to retire from football!

“Our wonderful game has given me everything. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped me get there and to help me stay there for so long.”

He added: “If you told me at 17 I’d play in World Cups, get to a champions league final, win the Fa cup and get 100 @premierleague goals I would have avoided you at all costs.

“It’s been an absolute dream come true.”

The couple welcomed their fourth child last month, adding another little boy to their brood.

Abbey and Peter are already parents to Sophia, eight, Liberty, four, Johnny, one.
