M&S launches two Snow Globe gin liqueurs and they come in light-up bottles

Some have said they'll 'camp overnight' to get their hands on them!

The gin gods at M&S are smiling on us in the run up to Christmas 2020.

With just 100 days to go until December 25, M&S has dropped two new gin liqueurs, and we think you’ll agree, they’re pretty special.

The two fabulously festive additions to the store’s booze range follow on from the success of last year’s Clementine Gin Liqueur Snow Globe.

It featured a deliciously zesty gin studded with 23 carat edible golf leaf.

However, this year, M&S has upped its game when it comes to its festive gins.

And we can’t wait to get our hands on these little beauties.

Introducing the UK’s first light-up gin liqueur bottles – and we reckon they’re set to sell out quicker than you can say “pass the tonic”.

The new gins come in two scrummy flavours – the much-loved Clementine and a new Rhubarb Gin Liqueur.

Both have edible golf leaf floating around in the bottle which makes a pretty scene when shaken before serving – especially when you press the button on the bottom of the bottle to light the whole thing up!

“How cool are these new light-up gin Snow Globes from M&S!” screamed Instagrammer Kev’s Snack Reviews.

He explained: “They’re in stores now for £18 and feature a light switch to light the whole bottle up. Give it a whirl and it creates a magical scene!

Gin lovers were indeed keen to give it a whirl.

Flavoured gin lovers react

“These look great,” said one.

“I’m so getting this,” said another.

“Oh my days they’re so pretty!” another exclaimed.

“I NEED both,” declared another gin fan.

“They look amazing. Too nice to drink,” said another.

“I’m on a mission to find them now,” said another.

“Mmm rhubarb gin sounds good,” another added, commenting on the new flavour.

“Sold!!” another declared. “I’m so getting it. They’ll probably sell out so quick though.”

Indeed, last year’s M&S Clementine Gin Liqueur Snow Globe was a sell out, and that’s without the added allure of a light-up bottle.

“I think they will!” said a friend who was tagged in the post. “We’ll camp outside the shop overnight – it’s okay,” they reassured.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” declared another.

M&S’ Stuart Machin said: “As a nation, we’ve been through a lot this year. Our customers will want to celebrate Christmas and mark the end of the year with friends and family in the best way they can.

“Despite all the challenges of 2020, at M&S Food we have been diligently planning our Christmas ranges over the last year to develop what we truly believe is our best-ever collection.”

Fred Sirieix joins M&S

Something else may catch your eye as you head into store to pick up the new gins – a life-sized cardboard cut out of Fred Sirieix!

Yes, the First Dates star has teamed up with M&S to become the store’s new Wine Ambassador.

He’ll be selecting his wines of the month and shoppers will be able to pose for a socially distant picture with cardboard Fred.

Wine lovers will no doubt be thrilled to hear that 15 new wines have recently launched in store as part of the Classics range.

Prices start from £8 and no bottle – fizz included – costs more than £10.
