Home Bargains has launched a candle that’ll make your home smell like a cherry Bakewell tart.

Yes, your home could smell good enough to eat with the Wickford & Co candle.

Now you can enjoy the aroma of the dessert – made with buttery pastry, jam and frangipane topped with icing and a cherry – in your home.

We’re drooling at the thought – and that’s before we discovered the price.

The candle, which has a burn time of 95 hours, is a total bargain.

You can pick it up in store now for just £2.99.

A similar-sized candle from Yankee Candle costs upwards of £20.

“My favourite candle but none here at our local shop yet. Gutted,” said one Wickford & Co fan.

“Can’t wait for them to be back in my house. Smells amazing,” they added.

“OMG!” said another with the love heart eyes emoji. “I want!”

“This is the one I was telling you about,” said one candle fan, tagging their pal and adding the cherry emoji.

“Ooooooh I want it,” came the reply.

“I will be keeping an eye out for this,” said a fellow cherry Bakewell fan.

“Mmmm amazing! We will need to try this,” another soon-to-be fan said tagging their pal.

Others commented on the brand’s Gingerbread candle, which usually launches in the run up to Christmas.

There was also talk of a Chocolate Orange candle – perfect if you’re enjoying all the edible chocolate orange treats that have launched of late.

And, in a spot of good news, if you do want to stock up, you don’t actually have to head to a Home Bargains store.

You can bulk buy the candles online.

Sadly the Cherry Bakewell Tart one isn’t listed, but the other two are.

You can pick up six of the 18oz candles – which burn for 95 hours – for £17.84 plus delivery.

This means that each candle costs just £2.97 each.

Or, if you want to look at it in terms of burn time, it’ll cost just 3p per hour for your home to smell like the candles.
