Chocolate fans are thrilled to discover that Maltesers is launching its popular biscuit in a mint version.
Makers Mars announced the new addition to the Maltesers Biscuits range, which were introduced at the start of the year.
They feature three crisp malty honeycomb bobbles which are then smothered in smooth milk chocolate.
The new flavour features a “perfect” hint of mint, early testers have revealed.
A Mars rep told ED!: “Mint chocolate lovers rejoice. Maltesers fans begin the celebrations. As September sees the launch of a new treat perfect for you – Mint Maltesers Biscuits.”
Mint chocolate biscuit perfection
Each perfectly formed biscuit has three light “seriously minty, malty bobbles”, smothered in smooth milk chocolate.
The packets feature 10 biscuits and Maltesers said that you could “think about sharing them with friends, family and colleagues”.
NEW Mint Maltesers Biscuits have arrived! The mint addition to these biscuits is perfect!
However, the rep added: “But with only 111 calories in a two-biscuit serving, you might just choose to keep them all to yourself, to enjoy throughout the week.”
Early testers have said the biscuits are lovely, so it’ll take some willpower to eat two and put the packet back in the cupboard, we think!
NewFoodsUK has already tasted the biccies and they have said they’re gorgeous.
“NEW Mint Maltesers Biscuits have arrived! The mint addition to these biscuits is perfect!” the post read.
“Wow,” said one mint chocolate fan.
“Yummy,” said another.
“Oh lord,” said another with the love heart eyes emoji.
“I’ll have a packet please!” said another.
“OMG I need to try these,” another declared.
Where can I get them?
Well, if you feel the same, you’ll have to wait a little while longer until they’re on sale, we’re afraid.
A rep revealed they will first drop in Asda. As such, you’ll be able to get your hands on them in store on September 10.
A few days later, on September 13, they’ll be in store at Sainsbury’s.
Tesco shoppers will have to wait till the end of October if they want to buy them in their weekly shop.
The biscuits will have an RRP of £1.49 per packet.
