If you’re looking at stocking up on bottles of Prosecco for Christmas, you may want to head to Aldi.
The supermarket has slashed the price of its Costellore Prosecco Frizzante DOC to just £3.99 in time for the festive period.
The bottle usually retails for £4.99 but now you can bag a bottle for a quid less.

According to the Aldi website, the “semi-sparkling wine has the same soft and fruity peach, pear and lemon zest flavours that you’d expect from our Castellore Prosecco DOC – just in a gentler Frizzante style”.
The product description adds: “It works fantastically with seafood, or why not try it as an aperitif?”
Shoppers seem to love the beverage with many calling it great value.
One person said: “I love this Frizzante – it’s very good value, and more on the dry side. Only problem is it’s out of stock frequently.”
Another wrote: “Lovely Italian fizz perfect for the English Summer. Creamy with a gentle ‘berry” acidity. Nose tickling bubbles with a hint of floral sub-tones. Buy it asap!”
A third commented: “Tried this as alternative to my usual Prosecco; glad I did ! It’s light, crisp and perfect for pretty much any occasion.
“Great price; even better when on offer, I’ll definitely buy this again.”
Meanwhile, if you’re more of a Baileys drinker at Christmas, we recently revealed that Morrisons has reduced its price of a litre bottle of Baileys – usually £12 – to just a tenner.
However, the offer is only on for a limited time and will end this Sunday (December 8) so hurry if you want to grab a bottle.

The shop’s official Facebook page shared the news, writing: “Your favourite festive drink – pick up a 1 litre bottle of Baileys for £10.”
Morrisons also sells Baileys Salted Caramel for £16 for a 70cl bottle.
