Made by The Snaffling Pig Company, the advent calendar has made a return after it sold out last year.

Lidl is also selling a food-based advent calendar by selling a cheese-filled one.

What’s more, at £7.99, it’s cheaper than those being sold at Sainsbury’s and Asda.

With each door of the Ilchester British Cheese Advent Calendar enclosing a delicious miniature cheese and an equally cheesy joke to match, shoppers will be treated to a variety of makes including Jarlsberg, Double Gloucester, Cheddar.

There’s also festive Wensleydale with Cranberries and Gingerbread flavour.

The calendar comes in cheaper than the same ones sold at Sainsbury’s (£10) and Asda (£8), and is on sale now – earlier than its counterparts.
