Asda is exclusively selling a four-layered Guinness chocolate cake from next week

Guinness has made a four-layered chocolate cake, which will exclusively be sold in Asda from October 15.

One of the world’s most iconic brands, it has now turned its hand to bakery.

And fans couldn’t be happier.

The Instagram page, New Foods UK, captioned an image of the cake by saying: “If you love Guinness, then you’ll sure love this cake!

“It has such a strong flavour of Guinness, it’s crazy!

“This grown-up cake contains four layers of Guinness-infused chocolate cake, with Guinness flavoured frosting in between each layer, topped with cream cheese frosting! Get ready to purchase your cake!”

The cake, which contains 10 servings and retails for £11, will be on sale in Asda stores from October 15.

Finsbury Food Group, who makes the cake, is hoping to roll it out into other supermarkets by the end of the year.

Followers of the New Foods UK Instagram account queued up to express their delight at the rich, chocolaty treat.

“Perfect cake!!” one slavered.

“Wow go on with your bad self Asda!” another said.

Guinness isn’t the only booze brand to branch out into cakes.

Now Baileys – who doesn’t love a drop of Baileys at Christmas? – has expanded its cake range, adding a new flavour to its Freakshakes and some salted caramel cupcakes.
