The hog roast sandwich costs just £1.79 and is filled with roasted pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce, mayonnaise and fried onions.

Our mouths are watering already.

Another sarnie is the turkey and trimmings wrap, which includes turkey, smoked bacon, stuffing, fried onions, mayonnaise and cranberry and port chutney.

It costs £1.69.

Classic flavours are also returning, with its turkey feast sandwich and brie and cranberry sandwich coming back.

The turkey feast features turkey, bacon, sage and onion stuffing and cranberry chutney.

Meanwhile, the brie and cranberry sandwich combines brie with a cranberry, ginger and orange chutney.

Oh yes!

And when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Aldi is also selling a “Specially Selected Turkey with Pigs Under Blankets” sandwich.

When it comes to Christmas, we often want our meat to be a bit special.

We’re already counting down the days.

It comes after the meat industry has warned there could be a pigs in blankets shortage this Christmas.

Due to labour shortages, there aren’t enough workers to carry out some of the tasks for the festive period including making the UK’s favourite Christmas dinner addition.

The British Meat Processors Association has said this could mean pigs in blankets and other popular festive foods may start vanishing from supermarkets.

Chief executive, Nick Allen said: “When it comes to Christmas, we often want our meat to be a bit special.

“The classic example is pigs in blankets. These are incredibly fiddly and very labour intensive.

“Packing plants need 10-15 per cent extra labour to get everything ready. And this is a challenge at the moment because of Brexit.”
