The Chase fans gush over Scarlett Moffatt lookalike contestant

Marina had Bradley Walsh in fits of laughter after revealing she held a funeral for her guinea pig

The Chase viewers were left gushing over contestant Marina branding her one of the “cutest contestants ever”.

The young university student first amused fans after revealing what she would spend her winnings on.

When asked what she would buy with her share of the money the blonde revealed: “Two pugs because I can’t decide which colour I want.”

Viewers were won over by Marina’s impressive performance after she bagged £4,000 in the cash builder round before earning a spot in the final round.

Marina, who is currently studying maths at uni, was even compared to TV presenter Scarlett Moffatt.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Is Martina related to Scarlett Moffat? #thechase.”

Another added: “Scarlett Moffatt in a wig just smashed 4 grand on #TheChase.”

“#thechase MARTINA LOOKS A BIT LIKE THAT BIRD WHO WON THE JUNGLE SHOW,” a third tweeted.

While others were impressed with Martina’s intelligence, and of course loved her even more for being a cutie.

One said: “Martina must be the cutest contestant ever. She’s like a little chipmunk #TheChase.”

“#TheChase @TheChase Martina very cute. but also more intelligent than she makes out,” added another.

A third gushed: “Bless, how cute is Martina. Pretty, funky, clever & lovely! She’s done well there #TheChase @ITVChase.”

Unfortunately despite Martina and her fellow players, John and Carmel, banking £11,000 they were defeated by the Chaser, Paul Sinha.

Meanwhile, a previous contestant on the show was slammed by viewers for getting every single question wrong during her cash builder round.

Moir let the nerves get the better of her after passing on every question host Bradley asked her.

Viewers were gobsmacked as time ran out and Moir hadn’t bagged any money.

Poor Moir admitted her performance was “absolutely awful” but fans of the show weren’t as supportive.

One viewer said: “Why do ppl who are rubbish at quizzes go on quiz programmes? #TheChase.”
