Michelle Connor’s old flame Will Chatterton may return to Corrie for romance

Will she move on with him?

Corrie’s Michelle Connor could get a surprise new romantic interest when her old flame Will Chatterton turns up on the cobbles again.

The Sun reports he might be making a reappearance now he knows Michelle has split up with Steve.

Will, played by Leon Ockenden, was first in the show last year playing Michelle’s first love.

At the time, Steve was in Spain recovering from his depression and Michelle felt alone and unloved. She was planning Will’s fancy wedding, but ended up snogging the groom and almost falling into bed with him.

She came to her senses when Steve returned and focused on her marriage, but then Steve found out about her dalliance when Will’s fiancée Saskia told him, and decided he couldn’t forgive Michelle, so they split up.

In fact, this triggered the chain of events that was to change the McDonalds’ life forever when Steve thought Michelle was leaving town to go off on a cruise ship, and fell into bed with Leanne.

Michelle didn’t leave, and Leanne got pregnant by Steve. When Michelle then also became pregnant upon reuniting with her husband, things got very messy indeed.

Sadly, Michelle lost her baby at 23 weeks, but Leanne went on to have a healthy little boy called Oli.

It wasn’t long before Michelle found out the truth and threw her husband out.

She’s since made a move on Nick Tilsley, out of revenge, but fans have been sure she’s going to end up in a relationship with Robert Preston.

However now these rumours of Will’s return might put paid to that idea.

A source has now told The Mirror that Leon would love to reprise his role:

“He’s heard Michelle is single so wants to try his luck once again.”

This would make things even more complicated!

Maybe Michelle should just be single for a while?
