Sir Bradley Wiggins eyes acting career and EastEnders role after The Jump

The small screen beckons...

| Updated:

The Jump’s Sir Bradley Wiggins fancies a complete career change after he’s finished his winter sports challenge – a role in EastEnders.

The World and Olympic cycle champ wants to go into acting now he’s retired from the track.

In fact, Wiggo has already been approached about a part on the soap, but he was forced to turn it down as he was too busy at the time with his bicycling.

Speaking to The Daily Star, he said:

“I’d like a an acting role.

“I got asked to be in EastEnders. A lot of things like that in the past I’ve turned down because I just didn’t have time.

“But now I’ve got time on my hands, I can do all those sorts of things”

Wiggo riding into Walford? We could totally see him ordering a pint in The Vic, hanging out with the locals!

For now though, he’s focused on his latest competitive sport – ski jumping.

He’s the bookies’ favourite to win the winter sports show, and on last night’s opening episode, he managed to turn the air blue!

In an interview with Davina McCall about why he was taking part in The Jump, he replied:

“Why not? To p**s The Daily Mail off!”

As it was pre-watershed, ever-professional Davina immediately jumped in and apologised for Bradley’s language. And he also realised his mistake and said sorry too.

The injury-stricken show has already had its first Casualty when model and presenter Vogue Williams was forced to pull out just days before the show started.

And Bradley very nearly didn’t make it either, posting to Instagram a picture of him getting his ankle iced and strapped up.

But he’s not won all his cycling accolades for no reason and vowed alongside the image: “The show much go on”.

Good on you Brad, we can’t wait to see what you can do.
