EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth has reportedly called off her engagement.
The veteran soap actress, who plays comeback queen Kathy Beale, had been in a relationship with partner Dave Fairbairn for five years.
It is claimed that Gillian, 61, had grown suspicious that Fairbairn was cheating on her.
Their future together is now, apparently “hanging by a thread”.
A well-placed source for the Sun on Sunday said: “She and Dave have been together for many years now, and she felt sure her future was with him.
“But neither of them have been happy for a while. There have been a lot of very fiery rows between them.

“And recently Dave’s behaviour has led Gill’s friends to question if there is someone else.
“The engagement has now been totally discarded, and their future is hanging by a very thin thread.
“For the moment, they are still together – just about. But it is incredibly hard to see how they will get through this.”
Gillian was previously in a relationship ex Geoff Knights for 23 years.
She and the father of her two children separated in 2009.
He was subsequently diagnosed with stomach cancer in and died months later.
Fairbairn is reported to be currently battling a second bout of prostate cancer.
