When Kylie Platt lay prone in the arms of her husband David on the cobbles of Coronation Street, you may be forgiven for thinking that would be the last time you’d see them together.
After six years in Weatherfield, Paula Lane decided that was enough for her character Kylie and she was dramatically killed off.
Jack P Shepherd has seen David not exactly take Kylie’s demise well and he has been on a revengeful path of destruction ever since.
There is light at the end of the tunnel for him though.
Well, off-screen if not actually in the ITV soap.
Jack and Paula sent Corrie fans into raptures with a cute a pic that Paula posted on her Instagram account.
The pair posed for the pic, which Paula captioned: “#tilldeathdouspart #reunited”.
They took the pic while they enjoyed a weekend away with their partners, Lauren Shippey and Tom Shaw.
Paula has been busy since leaving Corrie as she’s had her hands full with 19-month-old son Arthur and two-month-old Penny Grace.
It hasn’t let up for Jack either, as he headed full-on into another explosive storyline.
At a recent press conference, he was asked if had missed Paula since she left.
Jack replied: “No!”
He continued: “Someone asked me this the other day, it’s only because it has been non-stop – we’ve not had time to even think about her.
“The scenes have been so very dramatic lately, I think it will feel weird doing everyday, normal Platt scenes but at the minute, not really.”
