Coleen Nolan dresses up as Ginger Spice in Geri’s Union Jack minidress

Viewers were shocked at Coleen's new look

Coleen Nolan, 52, channeled her inner Spice Girl as she transformed into Ginger Spice during today’s Loose Women.

The loose ladies were joined by singer Geri Horner as she spoke about her brand new single – Angels In Chains.

Coleen oozed confidence in a replica of the iconic Union Jack minidress paired with pair of thigh high red leather boots.

Finishing off the look with a ginger wig Coleen looked pretty spot on!

Geri famously wore the tiny dress at the Brit Awards in 1997.

One of the Spice Girls’ classics, Who Do You Think You Are, played through the speakers as Coleen strutted out as the audience cheered.

Geri, 44, then joined Coleen and they both danced along to the music.

But viewers didn’t seem keen on the presenter’s transformation.

One wrote on Twitter: “Colleen is just not funny at all. She looks like Peter Kay in that costume #LooseWomen.”

“I’ve just been sick in my mouth #LooseWomen,” another said.

A third tweeted: “Is that #peterkay in drag? #LooseWomen.”

Another wrote: “#loosewomen that’s something I could’ve done without while eating me cheese scone!”

One agreed: “Coleen Nolan wearing a union Jack dress, dressed up at Ginger Spice..  Cringe! #LooseWomen.”

This comes after Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway also transformed into a Spice Girl and wore Geri’s most famous outfit.

The host, 50, said as she interviewed the former Spice Girl: “I decided, as a little treat for you, to wear the Union Jack dress.”

As Kate took off her coat to reveal the outfit, Geri exclaimed: “Wow, you’ve still got it. I think you look lovely.”

Sharing a photo of the star wearing the dress on Twitter Kate’s co-star Ben Shephard wrote: “The picture the nation should never have seen @kategarraway as you’ll never see her again!! great pic from @ChrisJepson.”

Geri appeared ITV’s Loose Women to promote her new single – which she dedicated to her close friend George Michael, who passed away late last year.

During her first appearance on the show today the star revealed she found out about about George’s death on Twitter.

She told the panellists: “I found out on twitter which was upsetting. I’d just opened some presents.

“He was one of those friends I didn’t see all the time but when I did it was straight honesty, he was always there for me.

“He was very fatherly, a good friend to me.”

The star also opened up about motherhood.

Speaking about the moment she discovered she was expecting she told the panel: “I had that feeling of shock. It reminds you that you’re human, I was delighted.

“I didn’t want anyone to know, I wanted to keep it private for as long as possible, just to protect yourself a little bit.

“He’s a little bit of a miracle because I thought I was too old.

“I think any child that comes along at any age, whether you plan it or not, it’s an amazing gift to get.”
