It’s been reported that Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas has sensationally quit the soap.
The actor has taken to Twitter to address the rumours, but is he staying – or going?
The rumour mill started when The Sun revealed he had quit the Dales to pursue a career as a TV presenter.

He won a legion of new fans after appearing on last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and wanting to capitalise on that, he’d handed his notice into the show with a view to leaving at the end of this year.
Fans were devastated as the news broke and an Emmerdale spokesperson did nothing to dispel the rumours when they told Digital Spy:
“We never comment on speculation or future storylines.”
Well, that doesn’t give much away, does it?!
But now Adam himself has tweeted “Don’t believe everything you read”.
So that means he’s not going anywhere, right?
He then teased us a little bit more with his next tweet, saying: “In other news who wants to be a guest on my new show”.
The crying with laughter emoji faces suggest he’s joking – at least we hope he is!
The Sun writer Andy Halls hit back on Twitter saying: “Don’t believe celebrities either. He’ll be gone by the end of 2017.”
To which Adam replied: “Put your money where your mouth is.”
This is all very confusing! But we love Adam’s character, Adam Barton, and we wouldn’t want him to go anywhere.
After all, what would Aaron Dingle do without his best mate? And how would Victoria Barton cope without her husband? Plus, mum Moira’s already lost one daughter, surely she doesn’t need to lose her son too?
Fans don’t want him to go either. They took to Twitter to ask him to stay.
That’s settled then. No one wants him to leave.
