He’s playing guest character, Kyle, who’s an ex-boyfriend of Nancy Osborne. He bumps into her at a support meeting next month.

Viewers know Nancy has recently been diagnosed with MS after displaying the symptoms for the last few months.

Oh no – will he cause trouble for Nancy and Darren’s relationship?

Show insiders have also hinted Nancy isn’t Kyle’s only connection to the village, which is hardly surprising in Hollyoaks, any newcomers always have more than one secret!

Speaking to Digital Spy, Adam said of his new role:

“I am really happy to be joining Hollyoaks. I’ve had a lot of friends work on the show throughout the years and they’ve all told me what an amazing place it is to work, so it’s really good to be a part of such a welcoming crowd.

“The key interest for me was in the storylines lined up for Kyle. I think they are amazing, taking the character on a real journey and something I am really enjoying playing a part in.

“Fingers crossed the audience like the surprises as they keep coming.”

Adam’s definitely no stranger so soaps. He was a big hit with the ladies when he played Nick on and off between 1997 and 2004, and he also starred in New Zealand soap Shortland Street for three years between 2007 and 2010.

Proving he’s not just a one-trick pony, he released single ‘I breathe again’ in 1999, and was part of ITV2’s Big Reunion a few years ago.
