He has also been accused of five counts of inciting the sexual exploitation of a child, four counts of possessing indecent images of children, and one count of committing an act to or attempt to pervert the course of justice.
He is currently being held in custody and will appear at Bradford Crown Court on 27 September.
He is grateful for all the support he has received.
In a statement from Mr Tetley's lawyers to Metro.co.uk, he asked for privacy during this "challenging time":
"Kings Solicitors of Bradford are able to confirm we represent Danny Tetley who has been charged with a number of sexual offences relating to children.
"The current legal position is he has been remanded into custody pending his appearance at Bradford Crown Court on Friday, September 27.
"Kings Solicitors are instructed to state on behalf of our client that since the start of the police investigation into these allegations and quite naturally he has been under immense pressure and stress.
"He asks that due process be allowed to take place, and would be very grateful if during this very challenging time his and his family's right to privacy is respected.
"He is grateful for all the support he has received."
Mr Tetley has denied all charges, telling The Sun: "Somebody's trying to set me up."
Earlier this year a video emerged of the former Benidorm singer snorting cocaine.
"I've worked my [bleep] off for everything that I've got, but THIS is how I enjoy my time after working my [bleep bleep] off," he said during the video.
Shortly after the video circulated online, Mr Tetley released the following statement:
"I am not going to try to attempt to defend this video, it is something I am not proud of.
"I take full responsibility for my actions and I would encourage anybody battling their demons to seek professional help."
