Love Actually child star Olivia Olson is the latest to be linked to Celebrity X Factor

ITV is currently searching for showbiz stars to appear on the new, revamped X Factor, which is set to feature celebrities.

It looks as though the channel has found one, with reports suggesting that Love Actually child star, Olivia Olson, is set for the show.

Olivia, who was 11 when she appeared in the smash hit British romcom alongside a bevy of big names like Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson, was said to have impressed bosses when she sang Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You in the film.

Now 27, the American actress returned for the 2017 Comic Relief sequel, Red Nose Actually.

Olivia also released her own album, Nowhere Land, last year.

The Sun reports that Olivia is on ITV’s list.

A source said: “Bosses wanted to vary the line-up with a mixture of celebrities and thought Olivia would be a great shout,” a source is quoted as saying.

“They have been in talks with her and it’s looking likely she will sign up for the show.

“She has a fantastic voice and as soon as the clip from Love Actually is shown, people will instantly recognise her.”

X Factor boss Simon Cowell is set to pour £3million into a new version of The X Factor this year as part of a masterplan to save the show.

He wants to recruit a host of famous faces to wow viewers with their vocal skills each week. Now, he is reportedly offering the winner a lucrative record deal at his SyCo label and a stab at the Christmas No1.

The Chase star Jenny Ryan, 37, Corrie star Lucy Fallon, 23, and a Love Island supergroup starring Wes Nelson, 21, Zara McDermott, 22, Eyal Booker, and Samira Mighty, both 23 are also rumoured to be appearing.
