Louis Walsh reveals that three BIG names will appear on The X Factor: All Stars

Sounds like it's going to be brilliant!

As you probably already know, The X Factor is undergoing massive changes this year.

In an attempt to revitalise the ITV singing show, the usual format is being replaced by TWO new shows – a ‘Celebrity’ version, and an ‘All Stars’ edition featuring past winners.

As if we weren’t excited enough by the prospect, judge Louis Walsh has revealed some big news about the latter series.

The 66-year-old, who is returning to the panel after a two-year absence, has confirmed that three of The X Factor’s biggest-ever stars will be competing in the show, due to be screened this autumn.

Louis told the Mirror Online: “All the winners are coming back. Leona [Lewis] is coming back, Alexandra [Burke], Shayne [Ward]… they’re all coming back.

“I don’t know what [Simon Cowell] is planning for next year, but this year I think the celebrity version is going to be brilliant, and then the ‘best of’ is like, wow.

“It’s going to be new and fun, it’s going to be Love Island meets everything, it’s going to be bigger and better.”

It’ll be fascinating to see Shayne, Leona and Alexandra back on our screens. Since winning the competition – Shayne in 2005, Leona in 2006 and Alexandra in 2008 – all three have had successful careers.

Shayne has enjoyed chart success and appeared in Coronation Street, Leona has had hits on both sides of the Atlantic.

And Alexandra has conquered the West End stage, as well as being a finalist in the 2017 series of Strictly.

As yet, there’s been no official announcement about who’ll be on the judging panel for the two shows, though Louis did claim in the interview that Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger will be returning to do the ‘Celebrity’ edition.

Louis also suggested that the panel may be kept in the dark about which stars are returning, so that it’ll be a surprise to them when the famous faces come on stage.

There have been numerous whispers doing the rounds, though.

David Walliams, Gemma Collins and The Chase star Jenny Ryan are among the names who are said to be in the frame.

Autumn can’t come soon enough!
