Strictly’s Zoe Ball ‘dumps boyfriend of two years Michael Reed’

They think it's all over…

Zoe Ball, the host of Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two, has reportedly split from her boyfriend of two years, Michael Reed.

It’s claimed that Zoe decided to split from Michael after he became “too clingy”.

Instead, she has decided to focus on her work and spend more time with her two children with ex-husband Norman Cook, who she separated from in 2016.

She and the Fatboy Slim DJ share son Woody, 18, and daughter Nelly, nine.

A source told The Sun: “Zoe knew deep down the relationship wasn’t going anywhere. She enjoyed her time with Michael but came to the conclusion he wasn’t a keeper, despite him believing they were getting serious.”

They added: “There were certain things she grew uncomfortable with, such as him wanting to become a model and act. Her close circle feared he was using her to enhance his own career.”

Back in 2017, Zoe suffered unbearable heartache when her boyfriend Billy Yates took his own life.

Michael was her first serious relationship following the devastating news.

She introduced him to Norman and their kids in December 2017.

She’s had so much to deal with and sadly a new relationship was too much.

The source added: “She’s had so much to deal with and sadly a new relationship was too much. It wasn’t possible. They remain friends but she’s happily single and focusing on her kids and work.”

Ent Daily has contacted Zoe’s reps for a comment on this story.

Zoe was recently forced off air on It Takes Two due to illness, with viewers complaining the show had been “taken over” by her co-host Rylan Clark-Neal.
