Joe McFadden didn’t get to revel in his Strictly Come Dancing triumph for very long – the actor reveals that he got the sniffles as soon as the show was over.
Joe and his dance partner, Katya Jones were crowned winners of the BBC’s dance show, after weeks of intense competition.

He appeared on Lorraine this morning to talk about his victory – and revealed he was struck down with a cold hours after the show finished.
“I had the obligatory cold that descended instantly as soon as we finished,” he said, “you just collapse in a heap.”
The cold came after the finalists were too exhausted by their performances to celebrate properly.
“There was a bit of a party on,” Joe said. “We were all so exhausted, the finalists, so we didn’t party that hard.”
Joe admitted that he was completely shocked to win the competition, saying the performance followed a bad dress rehearsal.
“I was completely and utterly flabbergasted!” he said. “I really, really was. We’d had a not very good dress rehearsal in the afternoon. Katya turned to me and said, ‘If we do it like that then there’ll be no glitterballs tonight!'”
He was full of praise for his dance partner, claiming that the victory was entirely down to her.
“She was so, so happy and I’m so happy for her. She has literally dragged me through kicking and screaming!
“Any partner is going to do well with that girl. I’m jealous of all the partners that she’s going to have because they’re all going to do well because she wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Joe was up against finalists Debbie McGee, Gemma Atkinson and Alexandra Burke.
