Strictly Come Dancing viewers tickled after Katya Jones says she wants to kiss Mike Bushell

Fans haven't forgotten what happened during last year's series...

Strictly Come Dancing pro Katya Jones had viewers chuckling last night after she said she’d like to kiss her dance partner Mike Bushell – a year on from her ‘snogging scandal’.

After the pair wowed the judges with their quickstep to Come On Eileen, Mike responded by kissing Katya on the cheek.

A tearful Katya then grabbed Mike around the neck and said: “I want to kiss him so much! He worked so hard!”

This went down a treat with Strictly viewers at home, as many couldn’t help but laugh at how awkward her words were considering the uproar over her kiss with Seann Walsh last year.

One tweeted: “Did Katya say ‘I could kiss him’??? Probably best not to go down that road again love.”

Another joked: “Katya screeching “I want to kiss him soooo much” is bringing back some unfortunate memories from last year… #strictly.”

A third quipped: “Katya saying ‘I want to kiss him’ was all a bit awkward wasn’t it.”

And a fourth commented: “Katya ‘I could kiss him’ yeah…maybe not the best comment #Strictly.”

Katya and Seann were photographed kissing outside a London pub last year.

The pair denied anything was going on but Seann went on to break up with his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.

Katya announced on social media she had split from her husband and fellow Strictly dancer Neil Jones in August.

The post read: “After 11 years, we have made the mutual decision to separate.

“We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends.

“This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieAved together.

“Our shared love of dance means we will keep working and dancing together as well as exploring individual projects.

“No matter what we do we will always support and respect each other.”

– Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One at 7.15pm
