Strictly Come Dancing star shares gorgeous moment with fans

Now he's one you'd want your daughter to come home with one day

We all know that Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard is a complete sweetheart, after watching him blossom over the years on the BBC dance show.
But he really showed himself in the best light possible when he posted a picture on his social media accounts recently.

It was a very sweet picture of AJ with his 90-year-old Nanna, Angela Mary.

He wrote: “My Nanna is 90 & has Dementia. The most important thing You can give to someone with dementia is your time & patience.” @dementia_uk #dementia #family #love”

The 23 year old’s followers thought this was the loveliest thing, and were quick to add their praise…

It’s not the first time he’s spoken about his Nanna’s illness, he posted birthday wishes when Angela Mary turned the grand old age of 90 last September

He said: “Dementia_is__Cruel – but Angela Mary rises above it and continues to LOVE & be LOVED ❤ – HAPPY 90th Birthday Nanna.”

And we can see where he got his dancing skills from, after one of the pictures he posted in the sweet birthday tribute, showed his Nanna as a ballerina.

According to Dementia UK, the illness affects people in different ways, depending on the type of dementia. The impact can be physical, emotional and psychological, and can also profoundly change the practicalities of everyday life.

Although it is hard for any family seeing a loved one suffering with this cruel disease, we hope AJ’s love for his Nanna, along with his time and patience, stops her illness from taking away that gorgeous moment.

Do you agree with AJ’s sentiment about dealing with dementia sufferers?
