Chris has revealed that he had a conversation with his wife Rosie before signing up to take part in this year's show, saying the pair "joked" about the curse.
He told Lorraine: "Everyone says about the Strictly curse but me and my wife have been together for seven years and married for five years."
Ever the comedian, Chris continued: "We have a three-year-old son but, more importantly, the top podcast in the UK."
Joking, he quipped: "If you think I’m jeopardising that...”
Everyone says about the Strictly curse but me and my wife have been together for seven years and married for five years.
Revealing that Rosie is a "good dancer", Chris said the couple tried to practise together but ended up arguing.
He said: "She did for a couple of minutes try to teach me a couple of steps and we argued literally after a couple of minutes."
He added: "She sat down and went: ‘Well you’ll have to listen,’ and I went: ‘Well they’ll be nicer than you,’ and walked out."
The Strictly curse has hit more than a handful of celebrities over the years.
Fellow comedian Seann Walsh was pictured kissing his partner Katya Jones, resulting in the end of his relationship with girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.
Katya more recently ended her marriage to fellow professional dancer Neil Jones.
Stacey Dooley also split from her long-term boyfriend and is now loved-up with her dance partner Kevin Clifton.
