Strictly’s Ashley Roberts ‘fears she will face every dance-off now’

It's upset her

After finding herself in the bottom two on Strictly Come Dancing for the second week running, Ashely Roberts is said to be worried that her professional dance training is going against her.

Last night Ashley, who is partnered with pro Pasha Kovalev, had the least amount of votes along with Casualty actor Charles Venn, before the judges decided to save her.

The week before, she had to go up against cricketer Graeme Swann after the vote off.

Now, the experiences have apparently really knocked her confidence.

A source told The Sun: “She was upset after last week’s dance-off but put it down to a one-off.

“When it happened again she was on the verge of tears. She thinks it will happen every week and asks what more she can do.

“It’s knocked her confidence. She struggled to hide how hurt she was and needed reassurance from Pasha and the others.”

ED! has contacted representatives for Ashley for comment.

The former Pussy Cat Doll may have danced when she was in the band but ballroom techniques are a whole new discipline.

She voiced her gratitude for being able to stay another week on Instagram.

Alongside a snap of her and Pasha, 38, in their musical-theme costumes, she wrote: “We had a blast here during Musicals week in @bbcstrictly land!! Shoutout to my absolutely amazing partner @pashakovalev you killed the quickstep choreo. Thanks for being the best partner I could ask for. Hope you at home enjoyed it. Love ya, Ash xx”.

The 36-year-old has been having a tough time so far as she’s also had to continuously shake off rumours that she is dating Strictly professional Giovanni Pernice, who is partnered with Step’s Faye Tozer on the show.

The star has insisted that she and Giovanni are just “friends”.

Ashley told Hello magazine: “Everybody hangs out. We’re a good group of people and everybody supports each other but he and I are just friends. I have been really busy and this show has been taking up a lot of time – that has been my main focus.”
