A round-up of the most likely celebs

ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is set to return to our screens later this year for its 19th series.

Fans of the show have some months to wait before we see a new group of hapless celebs take to the Australian jungle – but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from churning away.

Here are some of the famous faces you might see in the 2019 series:

Former daytime TV star Richard Madeley might be a hit with viewers, as his recent stint as a guest presenter on This Morning proved, and it appears his fellow celebrities are also rooting for him to be on I’m A Celeb.

According to The Sun, Ant and Dec are desperate to get him on the show. The pair reportedly said at the Royal Television Society conference: “We have a list that we get every year and we add to it and subtract from it. On our list at the moment, one person we are tracking down this year is Richard Madeley.”

Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood is also rumoured for the new series’ line-up, on the back of comments she made in a conversation with the Daily Star.

She told the paper: “There have been conversations with I’m A Celebrity. It’s ongoing. It would be my dream to do the jungle. I’ve made no qualms about that. It’s such an iconic show.”

Alan Halsall

Alan Halsall from Coronation Street could do well in the jungle, but a source close to the star has claimed his ex Lucy-Jo Hudson, with whom he shares six-year-old daughter Sienna-Rae, is worried what it might mean for her.

They told The Sun, “It is fair to say that Lucy would prefer Alan to remain in Weatherfield” in case he spills details of “their personal lives”.

Duncan James

Duncan James, one quarter of ’00s boy band Blue, could follow in the footsteps of his bandmates Antony Costa and Simon Webbe, who were in the jungle in 2005 and 2008 respectively.

He’s reportedly been approached in the past but is waiting for the right moment, according to a source quoted in The Sun, who said: “With his good looks and personality, he is the perfect fit for the jungle.”

During a chat on Loose Women in the summer, Holby City star Rosie Marcel revealed she had been having “meetings” with ITV bosses.

She was asked about the possibility of appearing in the jungle and responded: “I have, I’ve been… I’ve had a couple of meetings. I have spoken to them, it is something I would love to do actually. I think for me it would be an amazing challenge.”

James Haskell

Could rugby ace James Haskell be in the new series of I’m A Celeb? If the words of an anonymous source quoted by The Sun are anything to go by, he could well be.

Someone claiming to be in the know told the paper that producers think he would be a top addition to a celeb line-up and said they are hopeful about getting him on board after making him a “decent” offer.

Ulrika Jonsson

Presenter Ulrika Jonsson would likely be a hit with anyone who used to enjoy seeing her on shows like Gladiators and Shooting Stars.

Following her divorce from ex-husband Brian Monet earlier this year, Ulrika is said to interested in entering the jungle, with a source telling The Sun she is looking for a new challenge and expects to land other TV roles if she does do I’m A Celebrity.

Gemma Collins

Gemma Collins might have controversially quit the show when she was on in 2014, leaving after just a few days in the jungle, but the diva is reportedly keen for a second chance.

As reported by The Mirror, she said while recording for panel show Celebrity Juice: “They told me, ‘The magic wouldn’t be there because you’ve already been in’and I said, ‘Honey, if I’m in there, I’ll bring the magic’.”

Lucy Fallon

Since announcing plans to leave Coronation Street, actress Lucy Fallon has been rumoured for the jungle. What’s more, the Beth Platt star is confident she would make a top contestant.

She told the Daily Star: “I think I’d be good at the jungle. I like to challenge myself and that’s the most challenging show you can do.”

Piers Morgan could be heading to the jungle – if ITV’s willing to cough up enough cash to get him on the show.

The controversial GMB host has revealed his demands for a stint on I’m A Celeb, telling his Twitter followers he wouldn’t consider appearing on the programme for anything less than £5million.
