James Haskell sends message to fans after leaving I’m A Celebrity jungle

He's already tucking into food!

| Updated:

James Haskell became the latest celebrity to leave the I’m A Celebrity jungle last night.

The former rugby player caused a stir during his time on the show after snapping at Kate Garraway and clashing with his other campmates.

After being voted off last night, James has now reflected on his jungle journey and has wasted no time in tucking into some good grub as he revealed his slimmed-down bod.

Sharing a topless picture of himself eating a piece of pizza and holding a Corona, James wrote: “Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me!

“Sadly I didn’t make the cut but I loved every second of my @imacelebrity experience!

I was truly touched and humbled by their reactions this morning in camp.

“The most important thing to me is the opinion and respect of my fellow camp mates, with whom I have lived for the last 17 days.”

He continued: “I was truly touched and humbled by their reactions this morning in camp.

“Also cannot thank @andrewismaxwell, @adeleroberts and @cliffparisi enough for their amazingly kind and generous words to me today.

“Here’s to another slice  and [beer], and on to the next adventure.”

Fans praised James for his time on the show with one person commenting: “Congratulations on how far you have come on I’m a celebrity this year, there have been some hilarious moments with you.”

Another wrote: “I thought you were going to win…” while a third added: “You were brilliant. So shocked you’re out really.”

During his exit interview, James spoke about being “ratty” towards his campmates.

He said: “I think I would have been ratty even if I was fully fed. The Dingo Dollar challenge is a 50/50 question with absolutely no background to it.

“Kate and Andrew wanted to have this outlandish debate, PowerPoint presentation, PDF, and the worst thing was I could sit by and let everybody talk about it but when we come to A or B people hadn’t voted.

“You go again and suddenly more people vote for A than B. It was about 10 minutes of this and I was like, ‘right it is not that hard.’ I’m like that in life, being in a team sport you’ve got to cut through some of the nonsense.
