Human remains found near I’m A Celebrity camp

Police are looking for clues...

It must be pretty hard getting to sleep in that I’m A Celebrity camp as it is, what with all those spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies surrounding you.

But it sounds like this year’s contestants now have something else to keep them awake at night.

According to reports, police in Australia are investigating after HUMAN REMAINS were found just a short distance north of the ITV set.

The grisly discovery was made by hikers enjoying a morning walk at Mt Coot-tha, west of Brisbane – an area said to be frequented by homeless people.

Police were alerted, and an investigation has been launched to try and determine who the bones belong to – and how that person died.

It’s believed that a backpack was found close to the remains.

Referring to the hikers, local inspector Rob Graham explained to ABC News: “They saw a set of shoes… in the distance underneath the brush.

“Scientific officers will methodically process the scene. They’ll try to determine if there’s been any foul play.”

Whether the find has any effect on I’m A Celebrity remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say the ITV reality series could do without any more problems.

Long-standing presenter Ant McPartlin has been the subject of a “Will he appear or won’t he?” debate for months, following his recent drink and drug problems.

Thankfully, that appears to have been resolved now, with the Geordie star expected to join Declan Donnelly when the show starts on 19th November.

And according to the Daily Star, the slightly later start date this year means the celebrities have more chance of being battered by adverse weather, with reporters “warning Australia will be hit by a string of major storms”.

It’s not yet been announced who’ll be appearing in the jungle for this series, but names that have been bandied about include Phillip Schofield, Geordie Store star Charlotte Crosby and DJ Craig Charles.

Don’t worry, guys, we’re sure you’ll be safe inside that camp.
