Chris Ramsey reveals wife Rosie is ‘angry’ at his Strictly Come Dancing weight loss

Couple have been married for five years and are parents to a young son

The wife of Strictly Come Dancing‘s Chris Ramsey is narked off with him because he has shed pounds during rehearsals for the show without even setting foot in a gym.

The slimmed-down stand up comic, 33, joked Rosie Winter – who he co-hosts a podcast with – is “annoyed” with his appearance.

The couple have been married for five years and are parents to a young son.

He told the reporters: “It is no secret that she is a little bit angry that I have lost so much while doing work.”

Adding he hasn’t had to traipse off for a workout to shed some timber, Chris indicated he is fortunate to have a natural edge when it comes to staying in shape.

He continued to PA: “I’ve got a really good metabolism. I can eat basically what I want and not be huge.

She’s very used to being annoyed at how I look.

“She’s very used to being annoyed at how I look. So yeah – just more of that, which just gives me endless joy.”

Chris, who is the favourite to leave the Strictly dance floor this evening at the semi-final stage, admitted his training with pro partner Karen Hauer had helped him drop the pounds, even around his face.

He also highlighted his posture had improved – but he doesn’t intend to maintain his regime for too much longer, whether he makes it to next week’s final or not, because he’s looking forward to making the most of Christmas.

Chris seemed to have a little sob during last night’s episode of Strictly after he admitted dancing to Don’t Watch Me Cry by Jorja Smith made him emotional.

“I actually cried at the end there,” he told Tess Daly.

Hailing Chris’ progress on the show, Karen made the case for them to go through to the last stage of the competition against the odds.

“He’s a non-dancer and he made it to the semis,” she explained.

Turning to Chris, Karen continued: “And I think that that little boy who’s at home watching, Robin, will be very proud of you!”
