Jane Danson thanks Sylvain Longchambon for “saving” her after DOI blackout

His support helped her to get back on the ice

Coronation Street’s Jane Danson has thanked her Dancing On Ice partner Sylvain Longchambon for rushing to her aid after she fainted on the ice.

The actress had a close call when she fell and temporarily lost consciousness midway through their dress-rehearsal on Sunday (3 February).

She caused major worry when she blacked out and then had to be carried off of the ice on a stretcher, just hours before the live show.

Jane put on a brave face and managed to perform on the night. She then took to Instagram to thank the DOI team and Sylvain.

She wrote: “Thank you to the make up team who sprinkled their magic over me and made me feel myself again. Thank you to @slongchambon for literally saving me today. And thank you so much for voting ⛸❤️.”

After performing their routine, the 40-year-old star said of her ordeal: “I didn’t see it coming. I’ve been feeling bit tired the last few days. I’ve pushed myself too far and it’s caught up with me.

“Sylvain has been great and the team have really helped me.”

Jane’s husband Robert Beck was then seen looking emotional in the audience.
