James Jordan has revealed he’s receiving daily physio after suffering a hip injury during Dancing On Ice rehearsals.

The dancer, who topped the leaderboard last weekend, said he took a nasty tumble while practising a jump and landed on his hip.

James, 40, said he has arthritis and falling on his hip “hurt a lot”.

Writing in his Best magazine column, James said: “I fell practising a jump the other day and landed on my hip.

“Given I have arthritis there, it wasn’t ideal. It hurt – a lot.”

He added: “I’m getting daily physio and trying to man up. The last time I was in this much pain was when Brendan Cole and I were messing around backstage at Strictly, and he accidentally pushed me down a set of stairs.”

James – who is partnered with Alexandra Schauman on the ITV skating show – said the injury at Strictly left him with a sprained ankle.

James wowed the judges last weekend and topped the leaderboard with 36.5 points out of 40.

But it wasn’t just his performance that got viewers talking on Sunday evening.

His super tight leggings left viewers gushing and even left host Holly Willoughby red-faced!

As James came off the ice after his performance, host Phillip Schofield said: “He turned around and Holly said ‘he’s got a lovely bum!'”

Hitting Phil on the arm, Holly replied: “Don’t say that!”

Phil joked: “It’s like two basketballs and a sock.”

Last month, James revealed he had a “big bust-up” with his Dancing On Ice co-star Gemma Collins.

The star said the argument began when he confronted her as he felt “she was in the wrong about something”.

James also said he believes Gemma, 37, gets “carried away” when she’s upset.

Speaking to Best magazine, James said: “Gemma and I had a big old bust-up the other day – I felt she was in the wrong about something.

“She said, ‘You know what? You’re right.’ And she apologised to everyone concerned.

“That takes humility. What can I say… she gets carried away when she’s upset. On another note, didn’t she look stunning at the NTAs?”
