Gemma Collins wants “public apology” from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield

She says the This Morning stars were 'told off' by producers

Gemma Collins has said she wants a “public apology” from Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for criticising her lack of professionalism on Dancing On Ice.

Last week, Holly and Phil expressed their disapproval of the reality star’s attitude after a report claimed the former TOWIE star was being a “diva” on the show by turning up late to rehearsals and disappearing during last Sunday night’s show because she got “bored”.

Speaking in a new interview with The Mirror, the 37-year-old skating contestant – who is partnered with pro Matt Evers – said: “I’ve been told on the rumour mill that Phil and Holly have been told off, but a public apology would go a long way.

“I haven’t seen them yet – obviously I’ll see them at the studio, but I’d like an intervention before the show starts. We need to find the culprit responsible for giving them this false information.”

Her comments are a reaction to Holly and Phil criticising her behaviour on the show after reports she was late to rehearsals and kept everyone waiting – a story the reality star has denied.

DOI judge, Jason Gardiner later slammed Gemma, too, calling her “lazy” and “mediocre.”

Gemma’s TOWIE boyfriend, James ‘Arg’ Argent hit back at the pro dancer accusing him of “selling lies”.

Jason, 47, has ignored Arg’s tweet, but later responded to a fan complaining about Gemma getting all the attention.

James Argent defends Gemma Collins

He wrote: “I spoke about all the contestants for the interview but they have only run with what’s been printed.

“You’ve made a valid observation about the role our media play in all this. Sadly the other celebs are being overlooked by the press. #Tragic #honestjudge.”

Gemma’s pal and Dancing On Ice co-star Brian McFadden has also defended his new friend, insisting on Loose Women: “She’s working so hard.”

He added that he’s witnessed her “crying just from tiredness from working so hard”.

He added: “The real Gemma is so lovely.”
