Melody Thompson injured during Dancing On Ice rehearsals

It has "really shaken her up" apparently..

Melody Thompson has become the latest Dancing On Ice contestant to suffer an injury during rehearsals.

The Pussycat Doll singer fell over on the ice and injured herself as she practiced her routine with professional skating partner Alex Demetriou.

Melody shared a snap to her Instagram Stories on Friday showing her chin bruised and swollen.

She captioned the photo: “My chin last night!”

On Thursday night, Melody posted a clip of herself holding an ice pack against her chin.

According to The Sun, a source claimed Melody has been “really shaken up” by the fall.

The insider continued: “Her chin took the brunt of the fall with her partner then crashing into her, leaving her in a lot of pain.

“Last night she had to pull out of attending the world premiere of Alita and has been having back to back sessions with the physio to stabilise her shoulder.

“Melody’s determined to still do her routine as planned although medical advice is to rest for the next 24 hours.”

Meanwhile, on Friday, Melody updated fans on her injury revealing she “can hardly use my arms at all”.

She said on her Instagram Stories: “I can hardly use my arms at all, which is great, because who needs arms when you’re ice skating?

“I’m working on staying positive and am trying to find a way of getting through this performance on Sunday.

“If I look good, I don’t feel good [laughs]. Just so you know.”

Last weekend, viewers watched Melody bravely take on the dreaded Headbanger during her routine.

And it was definitely worth it as she and Alex ended up at top of the leaderboard with 32.5 points out of 40.

Melody is just the latest celebrity that has suffered an injury due to the show.

Brian McFadden dislocated his shoulder while former cricketer Ryan Sidebottom was unable to perform last weekend after suffering a grade one adductor strain.

Meanwhile, Gemma Collins suffered bruised knees after falling face first on the ice during her performance.

And Saara Aalto revealed on Friday that she suffered an ankle injury which almost caused her to pull out of the show.
