Dancing On Ice fans excited as first trailer is revealed

Is this the best Christmas ad?

It’s the season of Christmas retail ads competing over which is the cutest, and this year there’s a new contender – and it’s not even a Christmas ad.

ITV has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice, and the fans love it.

The ad brings back the polar bear heroes of last series, and introduces an unlikely skating partner – a red squirrel.

After a polar bear cub has a tumble onto some thin ice, accidentally bringing the squirrel along with him, the pair find themselves in danger of going over a waterfall.

But with a bit of luck, and some spectacular skating moves, the manage to spin each other back to safety.

Fans took to twitter to rave about the adorable ad, claiming it’s better than the famously sweet John Lewis ads.

“Dancing on ice advert is my favourite Xmas ad and it’s not for Christmas,” one fan said.

“The #DancingOnIce tv advert has made my day. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve seen,” said another fan.

Another fan said “I absolutely love the advert for the new series of #DancingOnIce. The little polar bear is super cute. Oh where can I buy the teddy versions.”

“This is the best and cutest thing I have ever seen,” said another fan, while another said, “The @dancingonice advert is better than ALL the Christmas ads put together. Just saying. #christmas #adverts #littlebear #christmasad #itv #dancingonice.”

The new series is set to kick off in 2019 and has lined up a slew of celebrities to take part.

The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins is set to join the show, alongside TV host Saira Khan, Westlife’s Brian McFadden, Love Island’s Wes Nelson and Corrie’s Jane Danson.

Other famous faces taking part are former EastEnders star Richard Blackwood, Neighbours legend Mark Little, dancer James Jordan, former X Factor star Saara Aalto, cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and Grease legend Didi Conn.
